Opening
We offer several pool opening packages that can
be customized to suit everyone’s individual
needs. With no two pools being alike we ensure that
we cater our service to your pools specific requirements.

Closing
We essentially offer two types of pool closings:
the complete closing and a partial closing. For
a complete closing, when we arrive the pool is still
open and running. By the time we leave the water
has been lowered, the lines blown, the equipment
winterized, the winter cover installed and the deck
equipment removed. For the partial closing, it is
up to the customer to lower the water, remove the
ladder and have cover there waiting. And we do the
rest.

Liner
Replacement Kafko
Pool Liners Link
Every single in-ground pool
liner is custom measured and made, ensuring a perfect
fit. Upon receiving your liner, we will come in
and drain your pool. Once the pool has been drained,
we will remove your old liner and prepare the pool
for its transformation. Prep work includes:
- minor floor repair,
- re-taping of the panel seams
- replacing all the gaskets,
- scraping any rust off the walls
and then sealing those spots.
In many cases with older pools, new coping or
track is required as the old coping is not holding
the liner or no longer looks pleasing. If a replacement
is required this will be discussed when quoting
the job. Finally we will hang the new liner and
install the new faceplates. We will gladly make
arrangements for you to have your pool filled
with trucked in water so that the job can be completed
in one day versus three or four if you are just
filling the pool with your garden hose. Link to
the Kafko website to view the selection of liner
patterns.

Safety Cover/Vinyl Lock-In
Cover Installation
Safety Cover/Vinyl
Lock-In Cover Installation
There used to be only one way to cover your pool
when it became time to winterize. However, over
the past ten years the Safety Cover has become increasingly
more popular. Not only do these provide you with
the safest winter covers on the market. They are
also the easiest covers to both install and remove.
Furthermore they are also the nicest in appearance,
no more swamp water to pump off, no more ducks to
think of your pool as their own personal pond for
them and their future family. At one point the Safety
Cover was affordable for the select few but now
you can’t afford not to have one. These covers
can be measured and installed by the professionals
at Savile’s any time. We suggest that you
place your order for your cover early in the summer
so we already have the anchors installed in the
deck, for when you want to have the pool closed.
Vinyl
Lock-In Cover
Just think of it no more waterbags to fill in the
fall, and none to roll up in the spring. Our Vinyl
Lock-In covers are simple and easy to install. These
covers can be easily installed to any Kafko pool
or coping that matches the specifications required.

Leak
Detection / Pressure Testing / Underwater Repairs
Water loss can happen in a pool for 3 main reasons:
- Evaporation
- A leak in the plumbing or equipment
- Structure i.e. the vinyl liner or a crack in
the concrete.
1. Evaporation:
Best solution is to utilize a solar blanket during
the evening.
2. Plumbing Leak:
If your water loss is in the plumbing underground,
we can usually located the leak by performing a
pressure test. This is done by blocking off the
lines at the pool and then putting pressurized air
into the pipes from the equipment side. All lines
will be tested to see if they hold pressure. When
a line is found to not hold pressure, water and
air will be mixed to aid us in locating the source
of the leak along with the use of a stethoscope.
Once the leak has been located, the deck may need
to be cut and taken up in a small section to get
at the leak. The leak will be repaired, the hole
filled back in and the deck re-concreted.
3. Structure Leak:
The most common type of structure leak is usually
a hole or a tear in the vinyl liner. These leaks
are usually located underwater by diving in the
pool. Once the leak has been located, a patch can
be glued over the hole with a special, underwater
glue. Other structure leaks include small cracks
in the concrete or cracks in the skimmer, both of
these can be fixed with the use of a 2 part underwater
epoxy patching compound.
Pump/Filter/Heater
Repairs and Installations
Savile’s carries the parts
to fix most pumps, filters and heaters. If we don’t
have the parts we can order them and if it is un-fixable,
we can replace it.
Pool
Cleaner Repairs and Installations
There is a wide variety of pool cleaners on the
market. We suggest you bring your cleaner head to
our store where we can evaluate it and suggest a
solution. Whether it being a repair or simply replacing
the unit with a new one.

Concrete
Pool Painting
Concrete pool painting is highly specialized and
should only be left to trained professionals. House
painters paint homes not pools. Savile’s has
painted many pools in this area, and therefore,
we should be your only choice for this very precise
job. Pool painting should be a 7 to 10 day process,
the earliest we can start is around the Victoria
Day long week-end (weather permitting). We will
drain the pool, Acid wash and T.S.P., and prep for
painting. If the old paint job is flaking, peeling
or chipping off, we can make arrangements for the
pool to be sandblasted if required. A paint job
is only ever as good as the prep work done before
it. If sandblasting is required, we will apply a
coat of primer first followed by one or two coats
of paint. Once painted, the pool should stay empty
for 3 to 7 days, depending on the temperature.

Concrete
Renovations
Perhaps your concrete pool needs more than just
a paint job. We also do tile repair or replacement,
reset coping stones, repair any cracks and lay all
new plumbing or even replace your deck.
Please note that some of these services
are sub-contracted out to professionals that we
have dealt with for many years.
Plumbing/Plumbing
Repair
We can handle any plumbing job from re-plumbing
the entire pool system both at the equipment and
underground to just simply fixing minor leaks that
may be present. Why not change the old, leaky, clamped
black pipe plumbing mess, into nice, neat, clean,
glued PVC pipe, with nice, new ball valves. Over
time pool pumps / motors will need some servicing,
so if your motor is sounding a little noisy, it
may need a bearing replacement. Or perhaps you’ve
noticed some water collecting underneath the pump
in which case the seal may need replacing. These
are very common jobs that need to be done approximately
every 3 – 5 years.

Solar
Blanket
With all pools not being created equal we suggest
that you have us come out to your house to discuss
with you what the best options for your pool are.
In some cases due to the shape of the pool we may
recommend that a solar blanket and roller are not
the best options for your pool. However, in most
cases a solar blanket and roller work very well
at keeping the heat in your pool after the sun has
gone done. We recommend that if you purchase a blanket
and roller do have the pros at Savile’s install
them as there are plenty of little tricks that we
have learned over the years.
